I have experienced the bustling music city of Nashville a few times in my life, but it wasn't until last August 19 (exactly a year ago from today!) that I took a trip to the Parthenon in Centennial Park. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I enjoyed walking through the art museum and exploring the outside grounds.
The most noteworthy exhibit of Nashville's Parthenon is the statue of Athena which proudly stands at 42 feet tall. Parts of the 2010 film "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" were filmed inside that room of the museum.
Seeing a statue of a woman dressed in gold from head to toe reminded me of the reason why I was visiting Tennessee in the first place. I was working with my producer at his IO Sound Studio in Jamestown to record my debut album, featuring a song called "Golden Image." In my upcoming music video, I will be wearing a royal golden dress similar to that of Athena's statue. My song releases on August 23, and the music video uploads to YouTube on August 30, so I'm excited to share what I've been working on!
After visiting the Parthenon, I enjoyed lunch at the Nashville Farmer's Market and then flew back home to New Jersey. The purple-shaded views of the evening sky from my airplane window were so dreamy to look at.
