Seasons Change, the Flowers Remain

Usually when the fall season comes around, the flowers lose their color and start to wither. Yet even as it nears the end of October, the pink roses that my mother had planted in the spring are still holding up! The hydrangea trees around the house are also still in bloom and more of their ivory petals are turning rose with each passing day.

Since some of my mom’s flowers back home are persevering through the seasonal change and colder weather, I thought I would celebrate by sharing some pictures that I took of her flowers from past fall seasons. These pictures were taken last year during a rainy day in late September. I wanted to capture the detail of the raindrops on the flowers since I’m always fascinated by how the droplets can naturally rest upon the petals.
