Feed the Birds

Halfway into March, and it has still been snowing here in New Jersey! This past week, we even had two snowstorms which resulted in 15 inches of snow.

As the snowy weather continues, many birds from around the backyard have found refuge on our front porch. Since the fall, my mom has been refilling one of her bird baths with seed so that the birds will always have a place to eat and endure the cold temperatures.

It was fun to watch some of the birds taking turns to eat while others impatiently cut in line and tried to claim the bird bath as their own. Regardless, they all look very plump from the months of special treatment they've gotten, and I'm happy to see them come back every day!
